The goal of the Quickdraft solution was to create a Job Order Entry application that could get rid of manual paper processes and integrate into front-line technologies including Microsoft Teams and Dynamics 365 CRM.
Chris Johnson, the business lead at Quickdraft, had an idea of what he wanted to create based on how CRM functioned along with other Power Apps the Quickdraft team had deployed with TrellisPoint’s assistance previously. In this case, TrellisPoint helped finalize the solution specifications and automate the order entry process using several Microsoft applications to result in a user-friendly and paperless process. Not only was the order entry form digitized, it also included logic and database connectivity to improve order entry speed and accuracy. The agile-nature of TrellisPoint’s design and delivery processes also afforded the client an opportunity to modify the project scope mid development cycle to include a “copy order” function that cloned prior orders for large jobs.
