Business Development Manager
The TrellisPoint Business Development Manager is responsible for securing business revenue via the acquisition of new clients and their associated purchases of Professional Services and Software Licensing from TrellisPoint. You will help build & execute sales strategies, create & present sales proposals, make client & prospect presentations, and be responsible for leading the sales and professional services pursuit-team members helping you to close new business opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate sales leads via establishing and maintaining relationships with partners, Microsoft employees, and prospective customers through organic networking as well as attendance at conferences and events.
- Qualify and pursue all leads and opportunities assigned to you by TrellisPoint Sales and Marketing leadership.
- Track (and keep up to date) all your sales and related data in the company CRM system (i.e. Leads, Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Activities, etc.).
- Measure and report performance for key business development metrics and assess against agreed upon goals.
- Learn and stay current on the business benefits of TrellisPoint product and service offerings including: the TrellisPoint Success Framework (“TPSF”), Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications, Microsoft Power Platform, and related licensing.
- Analyze and understand the needs of clients as well as industry trends with the assistance of TrellisPoint pre-sales, client success, and delivery team members.
- Maintain appropriate sales and/or technical certifications for relevant technologies. Lead prospect and client sales-focused meetings and discovery sessions.
- Manage the opportunity sales process and the initial stages of TPSF throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
- Participate in completing strategic roadmaps, including crafting & estimating the proposed solution in collaboration with TrellisPoint professional services team members.
- Create and present presentations, proposals, license quotes & orders, and contract documents as needed.
- Provide input to the marketing team in developing & executing plans for client and prospect marketing campaigns.
- Assist, participate in, and represent TrellisPoint at events such as key client and partner events, conferences, webinars, seminars, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform use and/or implementation experience working with medium to enterprise size clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate the use and benefits of technical solutions to businesspeople.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 technology including the use of Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Point.
- Possess deep expertise in lead qualification, opportunity assessment, opportunity development, and proposal development. Demonstrate strong commitment to exceptional service and leadership among peers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree plus at least 5 years of related product/business/sales experience within a professional consulting services firm or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Travel as required.
