Business Development Manager
TrellisPoint is looking for a Business Development Manager with a strong focus on networking, relationship-building, and top-of-funnel lead generation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building new connections and opening doors to strategic partnerships and opportunities.
Skills and Abilities:
Networking & Relationship Building: Actively develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry professionals, decision-makers, and influencers in target markets to expand awareness of the company's offerings. This includes attending industry events, meetups, webinars, conferences, and participating in relevant business communities.
Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate new business leads by leveraging existing networks, attending events, and proactively engaging with potential clients in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform target industries such as finance, retail, manufacturing, and professional services.
Strategic Partnerships: Build and nurture relationships with Microsoft and other technology partners to collaborate on joint lead-generation efforts, co-marketing opportunities, and leverage new business referrals.
Top-of-Funnel Engagement: Focus on creating early-stage engagement with potential clients by educating them about the benefits of Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. Ensure an emphasis on problem identification and how these technologies can solve real-world business challenges.
Industry Thought Leadership: Position the company as a thought leader in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem by sharing insights, trends, and valuable information with potential clients through webinars, blogs, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
Event Representation: Represent the company at industry conferences, roundtables, workshops, and forums where key stakeholders gather, helping to generate interest and new leads for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
Referral Networks: Develop a network of referrals through close collaboration with other industry consultants, technology providers, and professional organizations.
Market Research & Prospecting: Continuously research market trends, industry changes, and competitive movements to identify potential new client opportunities and provide insights into untapped markets.
Content & Social Engagement: Partner with marketing teams to develop high-impact content, webinars, and social media strategies that support top-of-funnel lead generation efforts and increase the company’s visibility in the marketplace.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and the company’s solution delivery teams, ensuring new leads are appropriately handed off to the sales team for further engagement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development or a related role focused on networking, relationship management, or early-stage lead generation, preferably within the Microsoft Dynamics or enterprise software ecosystem.
- Strong existing network or the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and partners within target industries.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, and the ability to communicate the business value of these technologies to potential clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on developing rapport and credibility in a variety of professional settings.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on networking opportunities.
- Self-motivated, with a creative mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience collaborating with technology vendors such as Microsoft is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field is preferred.
