From Disconnected Systems to Intelligent Manufacturing Operations

TrellisPoint helps manufacturers modernize their manufacturing ERP and CRM, reduce manual work, and make smarter decisions — using Microsoft tools you may already have.

WHY MANUFACTURERS WORK WITH US

Data Sitting in Silos

Engineering, operations, and supply chain teams all have data, but it's not connected—so decisions get made in the dark or in competing spreadsheets.

Too Much Manual Work

Handoffs between systems and teams require people to re-enter data, chase updates, and manage by spreadsheet. That's time your team shouldn't be spending.

Hard to Prove ROI on Tech Spend

You've invested in software—but getting real, measurable return is harder than the vendor pitch made it sound. We help you find and show the value.

Sound familiar? Let's talk through it.

SOLUTION AREAS

Where We Focus for Manufacturers

Digital transformation improves manufacturing throughput by 10–30%, reduces machine downtime by 30–50%, and improves labor productivity by 15–30%.² Here's where we help manufacturers get there.

Increase Visibility and Control Across Your Supply Chain

Disconnected manufacturing ERP systems make it hard to respond to disruptions. We unify supply chain data so teams can plan and react faster.

  • Real-time inventory and demand visibility
  • Supplier and logistics tracking
  • Automated delay and shortage alerts
  • ERP and MRP integration with Dynamics 365

Improve Production Planning and Reduce Operational Bottlenecks

Fragmented data and manual processes slow production down. We connect your manufacturing ERP to planning, materials, and capacity so your team can move faster.

  • Centralized scheduling and capacity planning
  • Material availability and constraint tracking
  • Predictive maintenance alerts via Azure IoT
  • Improved plant-to-business system coordination

Align Sales, Forecasting, and Customer Insights

A modern manufacturing CRM on Dynamics 365 connects your sales team to operational data — so forecasting is based on real numbers, not gut feel.

  • Unified view of customers, orders, and pricing
  • Improved demand forecasting from historical data
  • Distributor and partner performance visibility
  • Manufacturing CRM integrated with ERP and supply chain

Deliver More Efficient and Responsive Service Operations

We connect service teams with asset, customer, and inventory data in the field — so they can act before equipment fails, not after.

  • Field service scheduling and dispatch optimization
  • Asset and maintenance history tracking
  • Mobile access for field technicians
  • Predictive maintenance via Dynamics 365 and Azure IoT

Turn Disconnected Data Into Actionable Insight With AI

Over 52% of U.S. manufacturers have adopted AI³ — and 72% report efficiency gains as a result. We help you unify data and put it to work with Copilot, Power BI, and automation.

  • Data unification with Microsoft Fabric and Azure
  • Copilot for faster insights and decision support
  • Power BI manufacturing analytics dashboards

Our Process

Our Proven Process

We follow a time-tested, five-step framework designed to minimize risk, maximize adoption, and ensure measurable business outcomes—every time.

1

Discovery Understanding Your Business Goals

Every partnership begins with understanding your "why." We host a free, two-hour strategic assessment session to learn your goals, challenges, and current technology landscape. Together, we define what success looks like and begin crafting a roadmap that aligns business objectives with Microsoft solutions.
2

In this phase, we collaborate with your stakeholders to evaluate current processes, data, and systems. The outcome is a detailed, prioritized Strategic Technology Roadmap that identifies where to focus first for the highest impact—balancing quick wins with long-term scalability.
3

Our solution architects and consultants turn the roadmap into a detailed implementation plan. We document system requirements, design process flows, and build proof-of-concept models to validate the vision before a single line of code is written.
4

We bring your solution to life—deploying, testing, and training your team for a seamless transition. But delivery isn't the end. We stay engaged post-launch, offering ongoing support, optimization, and user adoption strategies to ensure long-term value and continuous improvement.
5

We partner with you beyond delivery to ensure solutions are adopted, optimized, and continuously improved. Through ongoing guidance, support, and innovation, we help your organization realize value over time and adapt as business needs evolve.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to be fully on Microsoft to work with TrellisPoint?
No. Many of our clients start with a mix of systems — some Microsoft, some not. We help you identify where Microsoft tools make sense and where your existing investments are worth keeping. A full rip-and-replace is rarely the right answer.
What manufacturing ERP and CRM systems do you work with?

Most of our manufacturing work centers on Dynamics 365 — which serves as both a manufacturing ERP (via Business Central and Supply Chain Management) and a manufacturing CRM (via Dynamics 365 Sales). We also integrate with existing ERP and MRP systems rather than forcing a replacement.

Can you work with our OT systems and factory floor equipment?

Yes. We have experience connecting OT data sources — PLCs, SCADA systems, MES platforms — with IT systems using Azure IoT and edge infrastructure. We don't just work on the enterprise software side.

How long does a typical manufacturing engagement take?

It depends on scope. A focused project — like implementing Dynamics 365 Field Service or building a supply chain dashboard — typically runs 8–16 weeks. Larger, multi-phase programs are scoped after our discovery process, so you always know what you're committing to before work begins.

How does predictive maintenance work with Microsoft tools?

Predictive maintenance uses sensor data from your equipment, processed through Azure IoT Hub and surfaced in Dynamics 365 Field Service. Instead of scheduling maintenance by the calendar, your team gets alerts based on actual machine condition — reducing unplanned downtime before it happens.

What kind of results do manufacturers typically see?

Manufacturers typically see improvements in operational visibility, faster decision-making, and reduced manual work across planning, inventory, and service. Research shows digital transformation can improve manufacturing throughput by 10–30% and reduce machine downtime by 30–50%.

Do we need to replace our existing ERP or MRP system?

Not necessarily. Many manufacturers keep core systems in place while extending them with Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure. We focus on connecting and enhancing your current environment rather than forcing unnecessary system changes.

Why do manufacturers choose TrellisPoint?

We're a certified Microsoft manufacturing partner that focuses on real business outcomes — not just technology implementation. Our team has hands-on experience in complex manufacturing environments, so solutions are built to be both scalable and usable from day one.
